Nancie Kozel Tobison relocated to Arizona in 2016 after becoming a legend in Chicago as a music educator.

Experience: Piano teacher and adjudicator for over thirty years, Choral Director, Organist, Business owner.

Notable Performances: White House Christmas Parties (under both Bush and Obama Administrations, Carnegie Hall), Sidney Opera House, Forbidden City, Cultural Overture to both Beijing and London Olympics.

Recent Honors: Grammy Finalist for Music Educator of the Year 2015, Choirs of America honored at Carnegie Hall April 2015 for contributions to Music Education.

Educational Background: M.M and B.M. University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Cincinnati Conservatory, Northwestern University

Professional Accompanist: Chicago Lyric Opera, Chicago Ballet, Ann Arbor Ballet, Dayton Civic Ballet.

We’ve been thrilled to have her as an integral part of our piano faculty since 2016.

Fun Facts About Nancie

1. Has no technological skill or common sense but belongs to MENSA.
2. She and her husband were getting hearing aids for Christmas but decided on a painting instead because they can still see.
3. She was the 2nd oldest person at the 2015 Grammy’s the other was her husband.
