Kristi Hanno is working on her second year as a Clarinet Performance student in the doctoral program at Arizona State University, studying under Dr. Robert Spring and Dr. Joshua Gardner, where she received her Master of Music degree. She received her Bachelor of Music degree in Clarinet Performance at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, under the guidance of Professor Clarence Padilla. A native of Davenport, Iowa, Ms. Hanno won the Drake University concerto competition in 2012 and the Arizona State University concerto competition in 2013, and was the local Greater Arizona Chapter division winner of the National Society of Arts and Letters woodwind competition and a semi-finalist at the International Clarinet Association’s Young Artist competitions in 2014 and 2015. Performances given by Ms. Hanno have been given across the United States, Belgium, France, Germany, and Spain. Ms. Hanno is actively involved in performing chamber music of various ensembles, and is an established teaching artist in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
